Conveyor belt protection & cleaning


When we entered he business of protection for conveyor belts our goal was to offer something innovative and advantageous.
After some years of experience we can simply declare that the goal has been reached!

As in many other applications our SUPERELASTIC polyurethane offers advantageous performances in the protection of conveyor belts from wear.

It is fully understood that transfer points are very critical for conveyor belts because there they are constantly subjected the dropping impact force of falling material.
In the past impact cradles were equipped elastic rubber parts but unfortunately the high friction coefficient of rubber caused relevant abrasion of the belt and rapid wearing off of the bars.

So an innovation was applied on these bars. A layer of UHMW – having a low friction coefficient – was placed on the top of the rubber bars.
The solution has demonstrated to be good anyway progress requires continuos innovations and now it’s the turn of EUROGOMMA.

Thanks to three main characteristics of our
SUPERELASTIC polyurethane:

• Elevated elasticity (higher than rubber)
• Elevated abrasion resistance (much higher than UHMW)
• Low friction coefficient

the wear life of our bars is absolutely higher than standard impact bars reducing maintenance interventions on impact cradles.

Besides EUROGOMMA does not offer just the impact bars but complete impact cradles for every light or heavy duty application.
Two fastening systems are available:
• Bolting
• Clamping

Our customers are free to choose which one they prefer!

Besides we produce a full set of hard polyurethane scrapers for the cleaning of conveyor belts.
Scrapers are available to every belt width and can be simple scraping mats or complete structures made of steel or stainless steel with a hard urethane blade on the top.

Particularly appreciated are our elastic scraping structures.
Thanks to the utilisation of springs and of a movable steel structure it keeps the PUR scraping blades in contact pressure against the belt.
